Your Next ŠKODA

ŠKODA is excited to announce another two siblings in the compact family with the Scala, and Vision RS, respectively.

The latin noun scala meaning stairway or ladder, is fitting as the Scala will see ŠKODA scale new heights with the family sized hatchbacks.

Features previously reserved for cars of higher segments, along with class beating aerodynamics, and the hyrbid power outputs of the Vision RS will make the next release of compact models set the new industry standard.

Compact yet spacious, and one step ahead

Take a peak inside and you’ll soon notice the spaciousness, precise design lines and crystalline elements typical of ŠKODA larger wagons. Yet close the door to easily manouvre city streets to the open road.

Passing on the grille contours of the Superb flowing to the first European production car to give prominence to the ŠKODA name in the middle of the door, whilst connecting you to your surroundings with the panoramic sun roof.

The Scala offers a high level of active and passive safety, full-LED headlights and tail lights, plenty of space for luggage and passengers, as well as numerous Simply Clever features, all previously preserved for superior models.

The ŠKODA Visioncombines ŠKODAs long sporting tradition with a sustainable future.

The striking concept study – with its dynamic design language and efficient plug-in hybrid drive – will provide the first insights into the next evolutionary stage of ŠKODA’s sporty RS models and the design of a future compact vehicle.

ŠKODA also demonstrates a high level of environmental awareness with the use of sustainably produced Vegan materials. The ŠKODA Vision plug-in hybrid drive combines the 1.5-liter TSI with an output of 110 kW (150 hp) and an electric motor providing 75 kW (102 hp). They unite to deliver a system output of 180 kW (245 hp), which accelerates the concept study from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds

In total, the compact athlete emits only 33g of CO2 per kilometre. On battery power alone, the model can cover distances of up to 70km, ensuring zero-emission local driving. The lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 13 kWh can be charged by cable in 2.5 hours at a charging station. Alternatively, the ŠKODA VISION RS can be plugged into any household socket or charged while driving through energy recovery.
