Bi-xenon headlights use projector modules with a xenon bulb to illuminate the road. The bulb is used for both low and high beams, while a thin strip of LEDs on the bottom edge of the headlight is used for daytime running lights.
When switching between low and high beams, the diaphragm setting inside the projector module changes. The light beam swivels in both modes, and electronics ensure optimum light coverage during turns.
The inside headlight can turn by up to 15° into turns, and the outside headlight by up to 7.5° from the centre into turns.
