first car to offer seven seats
High power and low fuel consumption are the hallmarks of the two engines for the new Octavia RS. The car with a 230 HP 2.0 TSI petrol engine speeds up to 250 km/h. Those opting for a 184 HP 2.0 TDI diesel can enjoy top speed of 232 km/h. The Octavia RS achieves driving performance similar to the initial liftback with the same engines, delivering a top speed of 247 km/h with a petrol engine and 230 km/h with a diesel engine. For uprated pace, choose the new ŠKODA Octavia RS 245 edition for even more power, technology and attitude.
The New Octavia RS leads the pack in design and safety.
Winner of the 2017 Red Dot Design award for the Octavia Wagon, the jury of 40 leading international designers were most impressed by the clean and clear-cut lines that feature across the car, inspired by Bohemian crystal glass art. The powerful combination of aesthetics and functionality saw the design of the New Octavia RS triumph over the competition.
The New Octavia RS is one of the safest cars available on the market today. It has achieved a 5 Star Euro NCAP safety rating by combining a robust, high quality safety cell design with some of the most advanced driver assistance technologies available today including radar enabled Predictive Pedestrian Protection and Blind Sport Detect.
Blind Spot Detect helps the driver to change lanes safely by registering any vehicles in the blind spot.
Two radar sensors located in the lower part of the rear bumper monitor the area beside and up to 20 metres behind the ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS.
When the system detects vehicles in the blind spot next to the car or approaching from behind, an LED symbol in the wing mirror lights up to alert the driver. If the driver indicates in the direction of the detected vehicle, the LED starts to flash, indicating the possible danger to the driver.
