The KODIAQ has a standard Park Assist that semi-automatically guides the car into perpendicular parking spaces (forwards and backwards), and in and out of parallel spots. The system assists you by automatically carrying out optimal steering wheel movements to park within the lines, you just have to accelerate and brake.
The new KODIAQ features Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) with Driving Mode Select. DCC allows drivers to customise the vehicle’s handling to their personal preferences: Normal, Sport or Comfort – an à-la-carte chassis setup.
The exclusive air conditioning guarantees optimal interior temperature. The driver, front passenger and rear passengers can all control the temperature in their own zone, enabling the whole family to travel in comfort.
Automated gear-changing is essential for ease of control. DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission is available in combination with four of the five engines. The most powerful petrol and diesel engines come with a completely new seven-speed DSG.
To avoid those reverse parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the distance alerts, the KODIAQ incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a new feature that stops the car to avoid collision.
The new surround parking sensors complement the Park Assist perfectly. The parking sensors assist the driver with parking and work in conjunction with all of the infotainment systems available for the KODIAQ.
When reverse gear is engaged, the camera in the tailgate is activated and the image is shown on the infotainment system display. Dynamic guide lines laid over the image show the direction in which the vehicle would go with the position of the steering wheel or indicate when it should be turned.
ŠKODA’s Area View displays images from wide-lens cameras strategically located around SUV onto the full-colour, crystal-clear, dashboard-mounted touchscreen. With views that include direction specific or 360-degree surround, the ŠKODA KODIAQ’s Area View takes the guesswork out of tight spaces and (since it works up to 10km/h) adds a respite to slow moving traffic.
The KODIAQ can be fitted with a rain sensor to automatically activate and control the speed of the wipers. The light sensor activates the car’s lights automatically when the intensity of ambient light falls below a specified value (for example when driving through a tunnel or at dusk).
Open or close the door, start or stop the engine, all without having to search for your key? That is the comfort provided by the optional KESSY system. Simply pull the door handle and the vehicle will unlock automatically. Start the car by pushing the button located to the right of the steering column.
