This includes improving high performance cycling outcomes, increasing participation in cycling and nurturing new talent.
The centre features an indoor track constructed to Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Category 1 standard. The velodrome arena is 110 metres long and 65 metres wide. It has no supporting columns, but rather a series of angled perimeter frames supporting 6 metre high, curved steel frame 20 metres above the imported Siberian pine timber track.
