Škoda has been involved in motorsport since 1901, winning titles all around the world in a range of vehicles. Škoda New Zealand is proudly supporting this global passion by partnering with local team - Ben Hunt Motorsport.
As we celebrate our fourth year with Ben and Tony, we’re proud to stand behind a team whose talent and determination led to last season’s New Zealand Rally Championship win.
With the Fabia R5 back on the track, we enter the 2025 season as defending champions — ready to meet the challenge and chase another title.
2025 rally season highlights
With two events remaining for the 2025 season, Ben and Tony lead the table. Below are some highlights from our season so far.
2025 Event results so far
Otago Rally (April 5–6)
Hunt won a nail-biting final stage battle, edging out Robbie Stokes by just 3.7 seconds. This marked a perfect start to the season.
Rally South Canterbury (May 10)
Hunt dominated the event, winning by 1 minute and 56 seconds over Josh Marston. This back-to-back win extended his championship lead.
Rally Coromandel (August 23)
Hunt claimed his third win of the season, beating Robbie Stokes by 10.4 seconds. He also secured maximum bonus points for winning the power stage.
