Škoda New Zealand and Ben Hunt Motorsport today announce the conclusion of their four year partnership. Since joining forces in 2022, Ben Hunt, co driver Tony Rawstorn, and the team have delivered outstanding performances in the NZ Rally Championship, securing multiple championship titles and memorable rally wins that highlighted the capability of the Škoda Fabia Rally2 on some of the country’s toughest stages.
As the 2026 season approaches, Ben has made the decision to step back from full-time competition to dedicate more time to his young family...

2025 Champions

We're thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievement of Ben Hunt Motorsport, who has officially secured the 2025 Brian Green Property Group New Zealand Rally Championship title. This marks Ben Hunt’s fourth career championship and his second consecutive win behind the wheel of the Škoda Fabia Rally2.
Event results for 2025
Otago Rally (April 5–6)
Hunt won a nail-biting final stage battle, edging out Robbie Stokes by just 3.7 seconds. This marked a perfect start to the season.
Rally South Canterbury (May 10)
Hunt dominated the event, winning by 1 minute and 56 seconds over Josh Marston. This back-to-back win extended his championship lead.
Rally Coromandel (August 23)
Hunt claimed his third win of the season, beating Robbie Stokes by 10.4 seconds. He also secured maximum bonus points for winning the power stage.
Rally Whangarei (November 8)
Back-to-back New Zealand Rally Car Champions. Securing the 2025 title means Hunt is now a four-time National Campion and Tony brings home his fifth Gold Star!
