The sun was streaming down as Andrew and Megan prepared their family for their Rotorua road trip. Their two kids, Bastian and Aiya, were giddy with excitement for their first visit to the city, where they had booked many exciting activities at the Skyline.
But before they could hit the highway, they couldn't forget the most important member of the family: their dog, Leo. The Kodiaq boot was so spacious after packing their luggage and food, their furry friend could fit in their caddy with the cargo fasteners keeping him securely in place. He was so comfortable that they didn't dare disturb the peace by yapping. Leo had a holiday of his own with a weekend staycation at grandma’s house.
And when Andrew opened the front seat, he was amazed by how smart the Kodiaq was. The driver’s seat shifted back as he opened, so his knees didn’t slam against the wheel when boarding. In fact, the car was so spacious he could also fit both little ones’ car seats in the back with ample leg room. They both loved the convenient tablet holders on the back of the chairs as well, so they didn’t have to fight over what to watch for the trip.
With everyone relaxed into holiday mode, they weaved through the rural roads, making sure to wave hi to all the cows and sheep they passed on their journey. They could say hi to them all without making a major dent in their petrol, so they used their pit stop to refuel on delicious snacks instead. They also never had to worry about their phone dying mid-directions, as the dual wireless charging dock kept their phones charged and cooled.
They arrived at Rotorua in record time and rolled up to their hotel room. The seat warmers, that helped them to decompress during their ride, gave them the urge to take advantage of the private spa pool before their thrill-chasing tomorrow.
The kids were buzzing as the family rolled up outside Skyline Rotorua, where the sound of exhilarating karts and whirling zipliners whipped around them.
Bastian and Aiya were tugging on their parent’s shirts to get their turn to play driver on the Luge track. The parents got their hands on the wheel, followed by a child between each lap, and the race was on. Each pair took turns passing the other, cheering to go faster, through the twisted Luge track. While the sharp turns and high speeds thrilled the kids, Andrew sure wished he had the smooth and smart one-button sensory cruise control of the Kodiaq, which would have easily adjusted his speed for an effortless pass.
When they got off, they all agreed they needed a moment to chill. Andrew and the family decided they would unwind on the Gondola to recount their favorite part of the race. As the family boarded their Gondola cabin, they loved getting immersed in the lush, picturesque view. Then, with the whole family tuckered out after a jam-packed trip, they boarded their Kodiaq and cruised back to the hotel to enjoy a lazy Sunday before packing up for their trip home.
They woke to overcast skies the next morning. Andrew made sure to check the umbrella in the driver’s seat umbrella holder, so they wouldn’t get caught in the rain. As they loaded the cargo from their weekend away into the boot, the family couldn't help but think that they'd miss the supreme comfort of the new Škoda Kodiaq, from the smooth acceleration on long trips to the spacious interior. But they missed Leo, who was yapping with excitement at their reunion, just a little more.
