Auckland’s weather warnings didn’t stop Sarah’s high spirits for the weekend. With a cheerful twirl of her umbrella on the way to the Škoda Kodiaq, she tucked it neatly into the hidden compartment and climbed in, ready to put the new SUV to the test. Time is precious when you're a busy mum, so Sarah wasted none of it. With three kids in the back and car seats fitted effortlessly, she found herself wondering why every car isn’t built with this kind of space. As the clouds parted and the sun made a welcome appearance, she popped on her sunnies and hit the road in style.

First stop: Bunnings. Because what’s a weekend without a little life admin? An extra-large clothesline was no match for the Kodiaq’s generous boot space - it slotted in with ease, no Tetris skills required. Next up was some family fun. Three bikes loaded into the back without a second thought, and they were off to North Head for a bit of fresh air and adventure. Dual phone chargers kept everyone powered up, ready to capture the fun and memories along the way. Even fully loaded, the Kodiaq kept everyone comfortable, with easy seat adjustments and plenty of room to stretch out. As they wound their way up the hill and tackled some windy roads, the Kodiaq didn’t fail to impress with its travel assist feature, ensuring a smooth drive.

At North Head, the real adventure began. Sarah and her husband Sam hauled the kids’ bikes up the hill, rewarded at the top with stunning views, blue skies, and that unbeatable feeling of quality time spent together. The kids biked, a picnic was unpacked, and the city skyline served as the perfect backdrop to an unforgettable afternoon. As evening rolled in and the stars came out, Sarah headed off for a well-earned night out with the girls. She set the interior lighting to match the mood, exploring the Kodiaq’s playful LED ambient lighting – a rainbow of colours to suit any vibe (a hit with the kids too).

Reflecting on the weekend, Sarah couldn’t help but feel impressed. From keyless entry to the sleeve-saving screen cleaner, every little detail felt thoughtfully designed for mums like her. But her favourite feature? “The humongous boot space,” she grinned. “Our kids are super active, and with the Kodiaq, we can do everything we want to do - which is really cool.”
