Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

  • The Promoter is European Distributors Limited trading as Škoda New Zealand.

  • Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these and any other appliable terms and condition.

2. Promotion Period

  • The promotion commences on 2 February 2026 and ends at 11.59pm on 2 May 2026 (Promotion Period).

3. How to Enter

  • Will you crack the Škoda code? Each day, a Škoda code 'Word of the Day' will be announced at www.skoda.co.nz/play.

  • The word you see will be incorrect because some letters (highlighted in yellow) are wrong. Your challenge is to change those incorrect letters to guess the correct word.

  • Participants have three chances per day to lock in a guess for the correct word.

  • If the word is guessed correctly the participant will gain one entry into the main prize draw (Daily Entry).

  • After guessing correctly, participants will be required to enter their name and email address to facilitate that Daily Entry into the draw.

  • Daily Entries close at 11:59 PM NZT each day. Entrant can only enter once per day. Duplicate Daily Entries will be removed.

4. Winner selection

  • There is one prize winner to be drawn by the Promoter (or its agent) by 8 May 2026 to be selected by random electronic selection from all Daily Entries across the Promotion Period. The winner will receive a Tour de France VIP experience for 2 in July 2026. Full prize pack is valued at approximately $30,000 (Main Prize).

  • The Main Prize includes for two people:
  1. Premium Economy flights to Lyon Airport ex Auckland (if the prize winner does not reside in Auckland, domestic flights to Auckland will also be included).
  2. Transfers to and from the Tour de France VIP experience in Grenoble.
  3. VIP Experience to occur on 24-26 July 2026 including food, accommodation at Park Hotel Grenoble, and activities.
  4. Additional 5 nights’ accommodation in Grenoble.
  5. Spending money of NZD $3,000.
  6. Specific nights accommodation in Grenoble prior to, and after, the Tour de France VIP experience will be dependent on flight availability.
  • The various components of the Main Prize are subject to change until confirmed by Škoda Auto (it is anticipated this will be confirmed in mid March 2026). The Promoter reserves the right to adjust all or part of the Main Prize but will use all reasonable endeavours to provide a substantially similar prize.

  • Selection of specific travel dates, hotels, airline and departure times is at the Promoter’s discretion at the time of booking. Airline travel, airport transfers and accommodation are subject to the relevant supplier’s standard terms and conditions. The Prize must be taken on the dates advised by the Promoter. No alterations, extensions or variation on these travel dates is permitted. All components of the Prize must be taken together. No changes or additions to the booking accepted. Each winner will be solely responsible for their companion.

  • Winners are responsible for any expenses additional to those outlined as covered in the Main Prize, including but not limited to; passport, visa, travel and insurance requirements.

  • Prizes are not transferable or negotiable, nor can they be redeemed for cash.

  • The Main Prize winner will be notified within 2 business days of the prize draw occurring to work through arrangements for the travel via the entrant’s contact details provided with the Daily Entry. If the winner cannot be contacted within 6 business days of the prize draw occurring the Promoter may undertake a further prize draw using the same eligibility criteria to select a new winner.

5. Entry requirements

  • To be eligible to enter into this promotion and to win a prize, the entrant must:
  1. be a New Zealand resident and at least 18 years of age;
  2. be currently residing in New Zealand;
  3. have submitted one or more Daily Entries;
  4. hold a valid passport, be able to obtain any visa required (if any) and be able to travel in July 2026; and
  5. consent to the Promoter using your name and image for publicity and promotional purposes.
  • This promotion is not open to employees of the Promoter, Authorised Škoda NZ dealerships, their agencies and their immediate family members

6. General

  • Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded:
  1. the Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any prize winner (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this promotion or with winning any prize; and
  2. the Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss suffered if a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond its control and may provide a substitute prize.
  • The Promoter’s decision on all matters relating to this promotion, including any matters relating to eligibility, is final.

  • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend the promotion or otherwise amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time at its sole discretion. Any amended or updated terms will be published on the Promoter’s website.

  • Entrant’s personal information submitted as part of a Daily Entry will be only used to conduct this promotion, unless the entrant expressly ticked on the entry form that they could be contacted for future promotional purposes. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy will apply to personal information collected from you, see www.skoda.co.nz/other/privacy-policy.
