The all-electric Škoda Vision E

With the Vision E study, Škoda offers a glimpse into the company’s future of individual mobility. The concept car is the first purely electric vehicle in Škoda’s history. The emotionally designed five-door SUV coupé also meets the level 3 requirements for autonomous driving.

Performance

Thanks to intelligent management, the two electric engines with a total power output of 225 kW (306 PS) cooperate with maximum efficiency and drive the ŠKODA VISION E over all four wheels. The top speed is 180 km/h.

Dimensions

At 4,645 mm long, 1,917 mm wide and 1,550 mm tall, the ŠKODA VISION E has great road presence. Under the large rear door, there is a large boot – characteristic of ŠKODA.

ŠKODA Design DNA

Harmonious proportions, clean-cut lines, bold contours and crystalline features are combined to create a design that places a focus on precision and clarity. Clear and emotive design language is inspired by the Czech crystal glass art.

SUV Coupé

In the future-oriented vehicle concept, the elevated seating position typical of SUV models and the generous space combine with a dynamic silhouette and gently sloping roof line in the style of a coupé.

Central Display

The centre of the dashboard houses the central touch-screen display, on which the driver and front passenger can read and operate all the important functions and services of ŠKODA Connect. Just like in many ŠKODA production models, the VISION E occupants are of course ‘always online’ thanks to a Wi-Fi hotspot and LTE module.

Doors & Seats

The most striking body features include counter-opening doors and the absence of a B-pillar. In the bright interior, four rotatable single seats and the missing central tunnel ensure a generous sense of space.

Interior

Due to the long wheelbase of 2,851 mm and the short front and rear overhangs the technicians were able to create – as is standard with a ŠKODA – an extremely generous and comfortable interior. Due to the concept, there is no transmission tunnel which creates a ŠKODA-typical generous amount of space in the front and the rear.

Cockpit

The infotainment systems can be operated using voice and gesture controls, for example. Cameras monitor the driver all the time and check on their fitness and alertness using Eye Tracking. The Driver Alert system warns the driver of tiredness. The VISION E even comes with a digital doctor: the heart rate monitor slows the vehicle down automatically, should the driver experience any health problems.

Passengers’ displays

A Phonebox that charges smartphones inductively is integrated into each door. At the same time, the box serves as an interface that allows passengers to access their mobile devices’ personal settings, data and information conveniently on the individual touchscreen displays.
